Neurometabolic devices developer EnteroMedics has completed the acquisition of BarioSurg.

The acquisition enables EnteroMedics to access the target company’s Gastric Vest System, which is a minimally invasive, laparoscopically implanted medical device being investigated for weight loss in morbidly obese patients.

EnteroMedics has paid $2m in cash, 1.38 million unregistered shares of its common stock, and one million unregistered shares of its conditional convertible preferred stock.

Finesse Medical has been acquired by Avery Dennison, as a part of its long-term strategic goal for industrial and healthcare materials segment.

Finesse Medical specialises in developing wound care and skin treatment products using advanced technologies, while Avery, through its business unit Vancive Medical Technologies, provides pressure-sensitive and functional materials for the retail apparel market.
