Infusion therapy and drug delivery solutions provider Eitan Medical has introduced Avoset, a new connected infusion multi-therapy ambulatory infusion system.

Designed to enhance post-acute care and speciality infusion therapy, the connected Avoset infusion system will facilitate the remote monitoring of infusion treatment data for improved patient care and experience.

Eitan Medical chief commercial officer Roger Massengale said: “We are confident that this new infusion pump will make a positive impact on the lives of patients and their caregivers, providing them with the freedom and flexibility to manage their treatment from the comfort of their own homes.”

The new platform complements the company’s Sapphire Infusion pumps portfolio. It is designed to accommodate the infusion requirements of therapies that require medication reservoirs and extended battery life at low flow rates.

The Avoset Infusion Pump received certification from the European Union’s Medical Device Regulation. Currently, it is accessible in specific European countries but Eitan Medical is planning the global implementation of the system this year.

Eitan Medical’s medication delivery solutions president Shaul Eitan said: “The launch of Avoset will transform infusion therapy in alternate sites and is not only a triumph of innovation and technology but also a testament to the dedication of Eitan Medical in providing the best possible care for patients.
