Waycen has entered a strategic sales agreement with MegaMind, a healthcare company in the Middle East, for artificial intelligence (AI) medical solutions.

The partnership will see the introduction of Waycen’s AI gastrointestinal endoscopy software, ‘WAYMED Endo’, and AI respiratory self-screening service, ‘WAYMED Cough’, to the Middle Eastern medical market.

Waycen will leverage MegaMind IT Solution’s extensive network in this region.

Saudi Arabia-based MegaMind has a network of 13 group hospitals and digital projects with more than 40 healthcare institutions.

The collaboration is expected to enhance digital innovation in healthcare across the region, with MegaMind annually establishing up to 25 data centres for hospitals and supporting remote consultations and medical data digitalisation.

Waycen CEO Kim Kyungnam said: “With this agreement, MegaMind’s 13 hospitals in the Middle East will start utilising the artificial intelligence gastrointestinal endoscopy software, WAYMED Endo, within the year.”

It is compatible with endoscopes from various manufacturers, including Olympus, Fujifilm, and Pentax.

The device secured certification as a breakthrough device from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea.

WAYMED Cough is designed to assess the respiratory, coughing and vocal sounds of the users, through AI comprehensively. It also helps in self-screening respiratory health in daily life.
