Fresenius Medical Care has introduced TherapyWise, a cloud-based analytics platform aimed at supporting hospital and critical care teams overseeing kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in the US.
The TherapyWise solution is available within NxView 4.0, a software with 501(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use with the company’s NxStage System One.

According to Fresenius Medical Care, managing KRT in intensive care settings produces large volumes of data at the point of care.
TherapyWise consolidates this information, aggregating therapy and device records to produce retrospective, programme-level summaries.
The new platform aims to help identify trends such as workflow interruptions, alarm burden, and variations in therapy delivery, which may be difficult to analyse without standardised metrics.

Data from the NxStage System One with NxView is securely transmitted to the cloud-based TherapyWise platform.
The solution displays a range of predefined programme metrics, including average delivered dose versus set dose, average treatment time per cartridge, and trends in alarm frequency.
TherapyWise is intended to support retrospective review and programme management, rather than real-time or patient-specific clinical decision-making, which remains the responsibility of attending clinicians.
It forms part of the broader NxView 4.0 software suite and the company’s portfolio for critical care settings, which includes digital infrastructure and secure data management for KRT programmes.
Fresenius Medical Care operates a global network of 3,539 dialysis clinics, delivering treatments to approximately 290,000 patients worldwide.
In July 2025, Fresenius Medical Care collaborated with Mexico’s Coordination of National Institutes of Health and Specialty Hospitals to extend high-volume haemodiafiltration access to individuals.
