Labcorp has acquired MLM Medical Labs, expanding its worldwide central laboratory and biomarker capabilities for clinical studies.
MLM is a central and speciality laboratory provider operating in Germany, South Africa and the US.

This move combines Labcorp’s existing global infrastructure with MLM’s established network and scientific service model.
The companies have not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.
With the addition of MLM, Labcorp operates a wholly owned laboratory network across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
This expansion will support clinical trial sponsors with more consistent scientific and operational oversight in multinational studies.

The acquisition brings together Labcorp’s scientific capabilities and operational scale with MLM’s infrastructure.
It also enhances Labcorp’s presence in key clinical research markets, such as Africa, where MLM runs a fully College of American Pathologists-accredited central laboratory.
Evercore acted as Labcorp’s exclusive financial adviser. Legal counsel was provided by Pierson Ferdinand and Hogan Lovells.
In July, Labcorp launched Marker by Labcorp Genetic Health Panel, a test aimed at expanding consumer access to information about hereditary risks for more than 100 medically actionable conditions.
The test is available through Labcorp OnDemand and analyses 163 genes linked to hereditary cancer, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders.
