The Israeli Government is planning to use Vayyar Imaging’s life-saving sensor technology to stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.

The sensors enable remote and confidential monitoring to detect and monitor key signs that can indicate early-stage Covid-19 symptoms. They measure pulse, heart rate variability and respiratory rates of the patient remotely and without the need for physical contact.

Furthermore, they can be installed at homes, hospitals, factories, airports, public transport and borders to cut down the risk of exposure for both medical and non-medical personnel.

Currently, the sensors have been installed and are monitoring personnel in real-time to help detect early signs of the Covid-19 virus in Israel.

Vayyar is collaborating with Israel’s Defence Research & Development Directorate (MAFAT) and Naval Medical Institute.

Vayyar Home general manager Ofer Familier said: “During this global pandemic, we are proud to work with health and defence systems to help control the Covid-19 outbreak, flatten the curve and save the lives of our loved ones.

“As we evolve our symptom monitoring capabilities, we hope to provide reassurance in this small way to soften social distancing restrictions, get people back to work and help to revive the economy.”

Meanwhile, the Israel National Emergency Team has completed a test in which two systems were adapted for Vayyar sensors to monitor the key data of Covid-19 patients remotely.

Vayyar Imaging specialises in 4D radar imaging technology. The company offers sensors to a wide range of industries. Its sensors are said to work in any environmental conditions unaffected by line-of-sight, lighting or weather conditions.
