The new product offers a solution for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures in osteoporotic bone.

It provides vertebral body height elevation and stabilises the fracture by using cohesion bone cement injections to enable controlled augmentation procedure.

Vexim chief executive officer Vincent Gardès said: “Dedicated to low-energy osteoporotic fractures, a high-volume yet lower-price market, Masterflow Plus is designed to be competitive in that area and to offer hospitals and physicians a valid alternative to treat osteoporotic compression fractures.

“This investment demonstrates Vexim’s objective of becoming a significant spine trauma leader in Germany, providing hospitals, surgeons and patients with best treatment options.”

“Meanwhile, the SpineJack will continue its penetration of the German market especially on high-energy and complex vertebral fractures where vertebral body restoration and spinal balance correction need to be applied.

In combination with Masterflow Injection system, Masterflow Plus can be used for the treatment of multiple vertebral levels in a single surgery, while its combination with the jack device potentially restores fractured vertebrae and safely injects high viscosity cement into the vertebrae.

The new device comes with a solid injection system, which can deliver high-viscosity cement under complete flow control.
