In order to avoid the use of external tubes, wires and compressors, the company’s tetherless technology places the communications, compressor, and power supply components inside the simulator body.

Eggert said: "Our entire simulator family, including adults, paediatric, and newborn, feature maximum functionality from tetherless technology to fully realistic airway anatomies and chest recoil.

"This advanced technology allows a care provider to diagnose and treat using actual monitoring and resuscitation equipment."

In October, Gaumard unveiled Tory S2210 and HAL S3010 newborn simulators, Victoria S2200 and Noelle S574.100 birthing simulators, Surgical Chloe S2100, Susie S500.200 for advanced obstetrics, as well as the S500 childbirth simulator at the National Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) World Congress 2015 in Vancouver, Canada.
