It is claimed to be the first actively powered microprocessor prosthetic knee in the world.

The Power Knee provides active assistance and creates motion while the user walks on level-ground, climbs and descends ramps or stairs, as well as when sitting or standing.

The users can perform a natural ‘step-over-step’ pattern while ascending stairs and will also experience controlled resistance at the time of descending ramps or stairs.

The Power Knee offers active flexion and extension while walking, as well as energy-returning stance flexion.
