Solta Medical has received Health Canada clearance for its second-generation LipoSonix system, designed for non-invasive waist circumference reduction.
Solta Medical has received Health Canada clearance for its second-generation LipoSonix system, designed for non-invasive waist circumference reduction.
The LipoSonix system uses high-intensity focused ultrasound technology to permanently destroy targeted fat beneath the skin.
The CE marked and FDA cleared LipoSonix system is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2012.
Solta Medical chairman president and CEO Stephen Fanning said the company also plans to expand commercial launch of the LipoSonix system in North America.
