Miniature Tool & Die (MTD) has announced the certification of the expansion of its state-of-the-art medical device molding facility in Charlton, MA, US. The facility expansion includes the addition of a third Class 100,000 cleanroom (ISO Class 8) for the injection molding of precision micro and miniature devices. MTD has also completed the full integration of its metrology / QC lab, which operates at an ISO Class 8 environment as well. The metrology / QC lab is capable of automated measurements via touch, probe, laser or optics as well as a full complement of empirical rheology and mechanical testing.
