About Us
Coherent Inc. is a producer of optical materials and semiconductors. The company came into existence in its current form, more vertically integrated, following the merger between II-VI and Coherent in July 2022. The company has a significant market presence in photonic solutions, compound semiconductors, lasers and laser systems. Its solutions find application in global communication, precision manufacturing, advanced electronics and space exploration. Some of its products include a range of lasers such as excimer lasers, diode lasers, fibre lasers, laser measuring instruments such as laser energy sensors, beam diagnostics, and laser meters, machines and systems such as laser welding, excimer UV systems, laser cutting and drilling; and related components and accessories such as optical fibre assemblies, custom optics and crystals, and isolators and rotators.
