Accumold Marketing Team Starts 2012 Trade Show Cycle at SPIE Photonics West Expo and Conference

The world’s largest biomedical optic and biophotonics exhibition is the first event on the Accumold marketing team’s 2012 schedule.

This year’s SPIE Photonics West event, which begins 21 January and ends five days later, will be at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

"Our company achieved extraordinary growth last year even as the general economy just sort of bumped along and one reason for that success was market exposure we gain at events like the SPIE Photonics West," said Accumold president Roger Hargens. "Last year’s SPIE Photonics West expo and conference were big hits for Accumold and we have every expectation that it will be just as valuable this year."

The event’s exposition, which is sold out, attracts more than 200 companies and offers attendees a look at the latest developments and products in two fields that change virtually every day.

Paul Runyan, Accumold vice president of sales and marketing, said those changes provide opportunities and challenges for the firm. "Obviously, for an industry leader like Accumold the opportunities are far more numerous than the challenges but it’s important for us to have a strong presence at this event," Runyan said.

Since its inception in 1985, Accumold’s mission has been the production of super-micro, ultra-precision, plastic injection-molded parts. Parts manufactured by the firm are critical components of the medical, automotive, military, aerospace and telecommunications industries. They can be found in micro-electronics, cell phones, telecommunications, surgical tools, hearing aids, medical devices, antennas, connectors and more. To produce those parts, Accumold builds specialized molding machines engineered to handle volumes from prototypes to millions per year while maintaining consistent, precise tolerances that are unique in the industry.
