VEM Group has expanded cleanroom operations at its ISO 13485 certified manufacturing facility in Rayong, Thailand, which is located 30 minutes from Laem Chabang, the country’s largest port.
Due to high customer demand, VEM has upgraded their existing ISO Class 8 cleanroom to ISO Class 7 (10,000) and doubled the size. The expanded cleanroom will support production of components and devices for existing Fortune 200 medical device customers with high-quality molding and assembly operations. Technology upgrades include robotics installed on the injection molding machines to automate production and three new ARBURG injection molding machines are on order – a 220-ton electric and two 100-ton hydraulic machines.
Capabilities at VEM Thailand include cleanroom plastic injection molding and assembly, prototyping, and testing. All molds are built in-house within the VEM Group.
