
Canada medical industry registered a 4.4% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.09% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.02% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.44% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Canada medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada medical industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 59.57% in July 2021, a 64.71% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 15.6% share, an increase of 37.5% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.64%, registering a 40% decline from June 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.8%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Canada IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada medical industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Sonova posted 42 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 27.59% over the previous month, followed by Intelerad Medical Systems with 32 jobs and a 300% growth. Danaher with 21 IT jobs and AlayaCare with 7 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 36.36% decline, respectively, while ResMed recorded a flat growth with 7 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.27%, up by 26.09% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 9.93% share, a growth of 75% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.8% share, down 54.17% over June 2021.
