China’s medical industry registered a 7.4% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.32% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.85% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 0.31% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.4% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in August 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 68% in August 2021, registering a 9.57% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.6% share, a decrease of 10.53% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12%, registering an 87.5% rise from July 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 2.4%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

GE Healthcare posted 37 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 30.19% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 23 jobs and a 15% growth. Carl Zeiss with 11 IT jobs and Sartorius with 8 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 300% flat growth, respectively, while PerkinElmer recorded a decline of 33.33% with 8 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76%, down by 8.65% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.6% share, registered an increase of 41.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.4% share, up 85.71% over July 2021.
