The top five companies accounted for 23% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Johnson & Johnson filed the most robotics patents within the medical industry in Q1 2024. The company filed 28 robotics-related patents in the quarter, compared with 22 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Globus Medical with 14 robotics patent filings, CMR Surgical (12 filings), and Intuitive Surgical (12 filings) in Q1 2024.
