The value marked an increase of 34.8% over the previous month of $1.18bn and a drop of 32.3% when compared with the last 12-month average, which stood at $2.35bn.

Comparing venture financing deals value in different regions of the globe, North America held the top position, with total announced deals in the period worth $771.1m. At the country level, the US topped the list in terms of deal value at $767.6m.

In terms of volumes, North America emerged as the top region for Medical devices industry venture financing deals globally, followed by Asia-Pacific and then Europe.

The top country in terms of venture financing deals activity in June 2022 was the US with 57 deals, followed by the China with 31 and the UK with four.

In 2022, as of June, Medical devices venture financing deals worth $11.65bn were announced globally, marking a decrease of 18.6% year on year.
