Hearing about new medical devices technology that doesn’t include software in one way or another is becoming less and less common.

In fact, the industry has taken things a step further, and medical devices are increasingly becoming connected to the internet, hospital networks, and other medical devices in the ever-expanding Internet of Things. The goal is, of course, to improve healthcare and help healthcare providers treat patients.
