The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.76% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 4.8% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 1.06% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Abbott Laboratories IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Abbott Laboratories, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.71% in October 2022, and a 100% rise over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 11.76% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 57.89%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.82% in October 2022, a 25% drop from September 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Abbott Laboratories
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 54.41% share, which marked a 15.63% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.41%, registering an 11.11% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.24% share and a 50% drop over September 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.47% and a month-on-month flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.47%, registering a 75% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 52.94% share in October 2022, a 12.5% growth over September 2022. India featured next with a 14.71% share, up 400% over the previous month. Ireland recorded a 5.88% share, a decline of 60% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Abbott Laboratories IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.82%, flat growth from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.12% share, a decline of 43.48% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.12% share, up 30% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
