Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 58.02% in August 2022, a 12.42% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 16.46% in August 2022, marking a 5.41% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.07% in August 2022, a 35.82% drop from July 2022.

Top five medical companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 4.48% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s medical industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Carl Zeiss posted 79 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 61.22% over the previous month, followed by Koninklijke Philips with 79 jobs and an 11.27% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 53 IT jobs and Danaher with 37 jobs, recorded a 27.4% drop and a 13.95% drop, respectively, while Medtronic recorded a 46.3% decline with 29 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s medical industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 59.49% share in August 2022, a 20.79% decrease over July 2022. China featured next with an 18.35% share, up 22.54% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 4.64% share, a growth of 46.67% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.35%, down by 5.28% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.57% share, registered a decline of 13.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.08% share, down 24.39% over July 2022.
