Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 71.71% in May 2022, a 5.99% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 8.86% in May 2022, marking a 16.22% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 8% in May 2022, a 15.15% drop from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 3.95% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s medical industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Danaher posted 49 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 16.67% over the previous month, followed by athenahealth with 48 jobs and a 45.45% growth. Carl Zeiss with 42 IT jobs and GE Healthcare with 30 jobs, recorded a 61.54% rise and a 41.18% drop, respectively, while Alcon recorded a 40% decline with 15 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s medical industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 69.43% share in May 2022, a 2.8% decrease over April 2022. China featured next with a 7.43% share, down 36.59% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 7.43% share, a drop of 29.73% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.57%, up by 0.43% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.57% share, registered a decline of 16.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.86% share, down 29.63% over April 2022.
