Australia’s medical industry registered an 8.9% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.45% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.06% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.82% in August 2022, registering a 25% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 11.76% share, a decrease of 50% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.76%, registering a 66.67% decline from July 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 11.76%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 30% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
ResMed posted 6 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 500% over the previous month, followed by Cochlear with 2 jobs and a 66.67% drop. Baxter International with 2 IT jobs and Agilent Technologies with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 100% growth, respectively, while Orion Health recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, down by 35.29% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.65% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 17.65% share, down 25% over July 2022.
