US-based company Becton Dickinson and Co’s IT hiring rose 7.0% in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 9.69% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 7.84% share in the company’s total hiring activity in January 2022, and recorded a 0.09% growth over the last three-month average share.


Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Becton Dickinson and Co IT hiring in January 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Becton Dickinson and Co, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 51.79% in January 2022, and a 32.89% rise over December 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.85% in January 2022, and registered growth of 17.39%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.82% in January 2022, a 10.71% drop from December 2022.


North America drives IT hiring at Becton Dickinson and Co

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in January 2022 with a 76.92% share, which marked a 14.5% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 20.51%, registering a 21.21% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.05% share and a flat growth over December 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.51% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 76.41% share in January 2022, a 13.74% growth over December 2022. India featured next with a 15.38% share, up 87.5% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 3.08% share, a decline of 60% compared with December 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Becton Dickinson and Co IT hiring activity in January 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, up by 27.45% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.64% share, a growth of 31.58% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.18% share, down 36.36% over December 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.51%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
