Belgium’s medical industry registered a 15.4% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.57% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.08% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 3.18% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Belgium’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s medical industry in October 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.15% in October 2021, registering a 51.35% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 28.21% share, an increase of 22.22% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.38%, registering a 500% rise from September 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.26%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 36.59% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s medical industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

Sartorius posted 6 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 50% over the previous month, followed by Envista with 6 jobs and a 72.73% drop. Materialise with 6 IT jobs and Danaher with 5 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 58.33% decrease, respectively, while Medtronic recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.92%, down by 30.23% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered an increase of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.69% share, flat growth over September 2021.
