The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.94% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.25% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 0.15% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 33.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s medical industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

Intelerad Medical Systems posted 30 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 21.05% over the previous month, followed by Sonova with 22 jobs and a 56.86% drop. Danaher with 6 IT jobs and Orion Health with 5 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 400% growth, respectively, while Hill Rom recorded a decline of 20% with 4 job postings during October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.89%, down by 34.74% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.44% share, registered an increase of 46.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.67% share, down 73.91% over September 2021.
