China’s medical industry registered a 4.4% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 8.33% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.95% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 0.62% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.44% in September 2021, registering an 8.6% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.15% share, a decrease of 23.53% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 4.67%, registering a 70.59% decline from August 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 1.87%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 1.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
GE Healthcare posted 26 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 29.73% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 18 jobs and a 38.46% growth. Danaher with 17 IT jobs and Sartorius with 11 jobs, recorded a 22.73% decline and a 37.5% flat growth, respectively, while Abbott Laboratories recorded an increase of 700% with 8 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.64%, down by 18.81% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.95% share, registered a decline of 23.81% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.41% share, down 40% over August 2021.
