Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 66.31% in September 2021, a 9.61% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 11.17% in September 2021, marking a 0.87% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 8.91% in September 2021, a 10.98% rise from August 2021.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 24.81% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during September 2021 over previous month.
Sonova posted 159 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered an increase of 10.42% over the previous month, followed by Carl Zeiss with 67 jobs and an 11.84% drop. Demant with 65 IT jobs and Danaher with 59 jobs, recorded a 70.05% drop and a 31.11% rise, respectively, while medi GmbHKG recorded a 3.45% decline with 56 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 27.62% share in September 2021, a 4.08% decrease over August 2021. Switzerland featured next with a 17.43% share, up 16.34% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 16.16% share, a growth of 14.58% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.48%, down by 10.09% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 17.04% share, registered a growth of 12.26% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.48% share, down 10.08% over August 2021.
