Germany’s medical industry registered a 2.5% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.15% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.2% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 54.14% in August 2022, registering a 19.1% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 12.78% share, a decrease of 26.09% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.78%, registering a 41.67% rise from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 12.03%, up 23.08% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Sartorius posted 9 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 43.75% over the previous month, followed by Carl Zeiss with 8 jobs and a 166.67% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 8 IT jobs and Danaher with 8 jobs, recorded a 33.33% growth and a 60% growth, respectively, while BrainLAB recorded a decline of 36.36% with 7 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.7%, down by 15.2% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.28% share, registered a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.02% share, down 33.33% over July 2022.
