Germany’s medical industry registered a 6.3% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.77% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.53% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.68% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.16% in October 2022, registering a 12.73% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 13.16% share, a decrease of 44.44% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.53%, registering an 11.11% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.89%, down 14.29% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.41% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Carl Zeiss posted 8 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 700% over the previous month, followed by Aignostics with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Bruker with 5 IT jobs and Sysmex with 3 jobs, recorded a 54.55% decline and a 50% decrease, respectively, while Sartorius recorded a decline of 66.67% with 3 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.32%, down by 27.5% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.16% share, registered an increase of 11.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.53% share, up 100% over September 2022.
