India’s medical industry registered a 10.% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.1% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.6% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 1.31% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in India’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.28% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry in October 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.62% in October 2022, registering a 42.86% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.93% share, an increase of 96.43% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 13.77%, registering a 5.56% rise from September 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 6.88%, down 13.64% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Carl Zeiss posted 58 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 24.68% over the previous month, followed by Alcon with 38 jobs and a 153.33% growth. GE Healthcare with 26 IT jobs and Koninklijke Philips with 26 jobs, recorded a 7.14% decline and a 23.53% decrease, respectively, while ResMed recorded an increase of 120% with 22 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.94%, down by 15.74% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.81% share, registered a decline of 34.51% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.88% share, down 48.65% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.36%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
