India’s medical industry registered a 7.4% drop in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.26% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 28.26% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 2.58% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.01% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.66% in April 2022, registering a 14.2% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.6% share, an increase of 76.47% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.3%, registering a 22.22% rise from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.3%, down 16.67% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 28.96% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Carl Zeiss posted 64 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 700% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 56 jobs and a 54.47% drop. Danaher with 50 IT jobs and athenahealth with 35 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a 59.09% growth, respectively, while Alcon recorded a flat growth with 31 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.16%, up by 2.08% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.96% share, registered a decline of 23.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.02% share, down 17.65% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.86%, recording a month-on-month increase of 50%.
