The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 4.57% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 11.72% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.95% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.44% in September 2021, and a 17.86% drop over August 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 24.54% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 11.11%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 8.59% in September 2021, a 55.56% rise from August 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 50.31% share, which marked a 27.43% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 27.61%, registering a 6.25% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 15.34% share and a 10.71% drop over August 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 4.91% and a month-on-month increase of 33.33%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.84%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 50.31% share in September 2021, a 25.45% decline over August 2021. India featured next with a 23.31% share, up 2.7% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 5.52% share, an increase of 12.5% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 44.17%, down by 24.21% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 37.42% share, a decline of 10.29% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.79% share, down 17.14% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.61%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
