Ireland-based company Medtronic’s IT hiring declined 2.6% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.42% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 12.82% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.59% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in November 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 57.53% in November 2021, and a 26.71% drop over October 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 21.51% in November 2021, and registered a decline of 18.37%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 6.45% in November 2021, a 42.86% drop from October 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 54.84% share, which marked a 19.69% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 25.81%, registering a 23.81% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.98% share and a 13.33% drop over October 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 4.3% and a month-on-month decline of 42.86%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.08%, registering a 33.33% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 53.23% share in November 2021, a 20.8% decline over October 2021. India featured next with a 19.89% share, down 40.32% over the previous month. Israel recorded a 3.76% share, a decline of 36.36% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.85%, down by 27.05% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 26.34% share, a growth of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 25.81% share, down 34.25% over October 2021.
