Ireland-based company Medtronic’s IT hiring declined 29.0% in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 12.13% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.34% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 4.57% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in August 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 41.48% in August 2022, and a 60.28% drop over July 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 18.52% in August 2022, and registered a decline of 56.9%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.07% in August 2022, a 26.92% drop from July 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 63.7% share, which marked a 46.58% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.48%, registering a 46.3% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.37% share and a 74.55% drop over July 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.96% and a month-on-month increase of 33.33%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.48%, registering a 50% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 62.96% share in August 2022, a 46.54% decline over July 2022. India featured next with a 16.3% share, down 31.25% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 4.44% share, a decline of 45.45% compared with July 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.15%, down by 52.55% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.15% share, a decline of 54.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 23.7% share, down 43.86% over July 2022.
