IT jobs accounted for a 16.41% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering an increase of 0.76% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 58.82% in March 2022, a 44.44% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 26.47% in March 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 8.82% in March 2022, a 200% rise from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 357.14% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during March 2022 over previous month.

GE Healthcare posted 11 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered an increase of 266.67% over the previous month. Merit Medical Systems with 4 IT jobs and Thermo Fisher Scientific with 3 jobs, recorded a 300% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Asensus Surgical recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during March 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 64.71% share in March 2022, a 26.67% decrease over February 2022. Jordan featured next with a 14.71% share, up 400% over the previous month. South Africa recorded a 5.88% share, a flat growth compared with February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.53%, up by 4.17% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.71% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
