The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 42.86% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during September 2021 over previous month.

Medtronic posted 8 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered an increase of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Agilent Technologies with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Starkey Hearing Technologies with 3 IT jobs and Healthy io with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% drop, respectively, while NovoCure recorded a 33.33% decline with 2 job postings during September 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 70.83% share in September 2021, a 41.38% decrease over August 2021. Kuwait featured next with a 16.67% share, up 300% over the previous month. Saudi Arabia recorded a 4.17% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.83%, down by 29.17% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20.83% share, registered a decline of 37.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.33% share, down 71.43% over August 2021.
