Top five medical companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.27% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s medical industry during September 2021 over previous month.

Becton Dickinson and posted 171 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered an increase of 14% over the previous month, followed by Sonova with 170 jobs and a 3.41% drop. Danaher with 160 IT jobs and Abbott Laboratories with 105 jobs, recorded a 2.44% drop and a 10.53% rise, respectively, while Hill Rom recorded a 62.9% increase with 101 job postings during September 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s medical industry

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 94.71% share in September 2021, a 2.34% decrease over August 2021. Canada featured next with a 4.7% share, down 11.11% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.59% share, a drop of 11.76% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.28%, down by 4.06% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.43% share, registered a growth of 6.97% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.82% share, down 13.9% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.47%, recording a month-on-month growth of 20%.
