Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 47.06% in June 2022, a 61.9% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 23.53% in June 2022, marking a 33.33% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 20.59% in June 2022, a 16.67% rise from May 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 65.96% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during June 2022 over previous month.
eResearchTechnology posted 5 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 150% over the previous month, followed by Hinge Health with 3 jobs and a 90% drop. Edwards Lifesciences with 3 IT jobs and Abbott Laboratories with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a 70% drop, respectively, while Smith & Nephew recorded a 33.33% decline with 2 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 44.12% share in June 2022, a 25% increase over May 2022. Brazil featured next with a 23.53% share, down 61.9% over the previous month. Colombia recorded a 14.71% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.47%, down by 61.19% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.65% share, registered a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.88% share, down 33.33% over May 2022.
