Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 52.38% in November 2021, a 57.69% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 19.05% in November 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.52% in November 2021, a 33.33% drop from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 50% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Thermo Fisher Scientific posted 3 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered an increase of 50% over the previous month, followed by AlayaCare with 3 jobs and a 200% growth. Medtronic with 2 IT jobs and Becton Dickinson and with 2 jobs, recorded a 33.33% drop and a 100% rise, respectively, while Envista recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 38.1% share in November 2021, a flat growth over October 2021. Brazil featured next with a 23.81% share, down 68.75% over the previous month. Colombia recorded a 14.29% share, a growth of 50% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 90.48%, down by 34.48% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 9.52% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
