Switzerland’s medical industry registered a 39.9% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 32.01% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.71% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 3.59% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s medical industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.74% in November 2022, registering a 54.35% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 16.13% share, a decrease of 70.59% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 12.9%, registering a 75% decline from October 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.23%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s medical industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Sonova posted 21 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 65.57% over the previous month, followed by Ypsomed with 7 jobs and a 12.5% drop. Zimmer Biomet Holdings with 2 IT jobs and Straumann with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.29%, down by 71.64% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 35.48% share, registered a decline of 21.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.23% share, down 66.67% over October 2022.
