The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 22.21% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 9.36% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 0.53% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring in August 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60% in August 2022, and a 1.46% drop over July 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 12.89% in August 2022, and registered a decline of 19.44%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12.44% in August 2022, a 20% drop from July 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Thermo Fisher Scientific
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 52.89% share, which marked a 9.16% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 23.56%, registering a 27.4% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 23.56% share and a 6% rise over July 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 47.11% share in August 2022, a 12.4% decline over July 2022. India featured next with an 11.11% share, down 43.18% over the previous month. Hungary recorded a 5.33% share, an increase of 140% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring activity in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.44%, down by 9.93% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.44% share, a decline of 16.36% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 19.11% share, down 12.24% over July 2022.
