The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 30.07% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 9.53% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.45% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 47.62% in October 2022, and a 72.41% drop over September 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 17.86% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 44.44%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.48% in October 2022, a 38.1% drop from September 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Thermo Fisher Scientific
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 60.71% share, which marked a 64.34% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 20.24%, registering a 75% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 19.05% share and a 56.76% drop over September 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 57.14% share in October 2022, a 64.18% decline over September 2022. India featured next with an 8.33% share, down 81.08% over the previous month. China recorded a 5.95% share, a decline of 58.33% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 44.05%, down by 73.19% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 30.95% share, a decline of 53.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 25% share, down 61.11% over September 2022.
