The UK’s medical industry registered a 0.9% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.29% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.2% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry in October 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 52.58% in October 2022, registering a 500% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 30.93% share, a decrease of 22.08% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 8.76%, registering a 76.39% decline from September 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.12%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.36% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 73 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 48.98% over the previous month, followed by Arjo with 44 jobs and a flat growth. Acteon Group with 9 IT jobs and Sonova with 8 jobs, recorded an 800% growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Genomics England recorded an increase of 133.33% with 7 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.41%, up by 11.43% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.43% share, registered a decline of 20% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.15% share, up 42.86% over September 2022.
