Aloe Care Health has introduced Mobile Companion 2 with Fall Detection, a new medical device for older adults.

The device enables older adults to easily connect with emergency services and their personal care teams through two-way voice communication by pressing a button.

Created to be worn as a pendant or on a belt clip, the device fits in the palm and provides multi-sensory feedback through both light and voice features.

Its features include one-click emergency assistance through the SOS button, automatic fall sensing with adjustable sensitivity in the app and an outbound caregiver speed dial through the side button.

The device also provides a ‘Find Lost Device’ locator function in the app and real-time location tracking for emergencies.

It connects to Aloe Care’s exclusive Family App and caregiver dashboard, enabling remote caregivers to stay apprised of the whereabouts and well-being of elders.

Aloe Care’s professional response team can quickly locate individuals in need and offer emergency services if required.

Aloe Care CEO and co-founder Evan Schwartz said: “The ability to use the device to contact people in your personal care team is vitally important.

“Approximately 46% of our Smart Hub users choose the option to contact caregivers rather than dispatch an ambulance, drastically reducing the need for costly, stress-inducing emergency services when they are not needed. Having this option in a mobile device will be a game-changer for many.”
