Canada-based Cantronic Systems has signed a distribution agreement with the UK-based technology products distribution company RealTime DC for the distribution of its fever scanning solutions.
The deal marks the entry of Cantronic Systems in the UK and the rest of the European market.
The company developed an elevated body temperature screening system in 2003 during the SARS epidemic. It has been supplying its fever screening body temperature scanners to the US and Canada since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cantronic Systems has currently ramped up the production to meet the demand for the fever scanning solutions worldwide and is actively looking for partners and distributors in European countries.
Signing up RealTime DC as a distributor in the UK is an important first step, the company noted.
Cantronic Systems provided its fever scanning technology solution for a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Walmart, Johnson and Johnson, Home Depot, Maple Leaf Foods, and Saputo.
Its solution has also been offered to various Canadian and the US Government facilities and K-12 school districts.
The company’s fever scanners are used in over 100 major airports at more than 40 countries across the world since 2013.
In Canada, Cantronic solutions include products that are approved as a medical device by Health Canada.
In the US, its offerings include products that are compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) under Section 889.
This year, the company established a distribution and support centre in the US to serve its fast-growing customer base in the country.
