Cantel has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Omnia for $31.9m.
Omnia will receive an upfront payment of $26.1m and $5.8m in milestone payments.
The acquisition will provide Cantel access to Omnia’s broad portfolio of dental surgical consumables solutions including sutures, irrigation tubing, and customised dental surgical procedure kits. It will also provide the infrastructure required to establish itself in the global market.
The transaction is expected to be closed by February 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.
Cantel is a dental medical devices company based in the US, while Omnia is also a dental medical devices company based in Italy.
ResMed has completed the acquisition of MatrixCare for $750m.
The acquisition will help ResMed in enhancing its SaaS offerings of integrated solutions in home medical equipment, home health, and hospice through two of its platforms Brightree and HEALTHCAREfirst.
MatrixCare will continue to function as a standalone business in ResMed’s SaaS portfolio.
ResMed is a medical equipment company, while MatrixCare is a software solutions provider. Both parties are based in the US.
Merit Medical has completed the acquisition of Cianna Medical for $200m.
Cianna has received an upfront payment of $135m in cash and is also eligible to receive an additional $15m for supply related milestones, as well as $50m for achieving sales-related targets.
Cianna Medical is a breast conservation technology company. Both organisations involved in the deal are based in the US.
Bruker has signed an agreement to acquire Alicona Imaging for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will add Alicona’s optical 3D metrology products to Bruker’s product portfolio and broaden the company’s application reach, while improving customer offerings.
Based in the US, Bruker is a scientific instrument manufacturing company. Alicona Imaging is a medical device company based in Austria.
