Ostar Healthcare Technology has introduced Ostar P200, its P Series cloud-based telehealth blood pressure monitoring system, to the North American market.
Ostar P200 is powered by a 3SI (three simultaneous interpretations) interpretive blood pressure monitoring algorithm, which offers early warning alerts of possible emerging arrhythmias, valvular and coronary arterial conditions.
Ostar Healthcare Technology CEO Doug Hemenway: “This North American launch of Ostar P200TM brings forth a timely and unique, nurse-centered approach to remote monitoring.
“The P200 instantly improves nurse productivity and satisfaction, in lockstep with current care coordination requirements.
“All Ostar products reinforce OSTAR’s commitment to improving patient outcomes, avoiding unnecessary costs, in conjunction with the current Accountable Care Act (PPACA).”
The cloud-based device automatically connects to Wi-Fi and cellphone networks and sends relevant data to EMR’s and HIE’s anywhere in the world.
V3 Healthcare Strategies president Paul Markham said: “Given the current transformation of healthcare in the United States, this nurse-centered form of remote telehealth has the potential to impact shared saving plans in accountable care organisations, while also positively impacting health insurance indicators such as HEDIS, with regards to Medicare Advantage Star Rating programmes.”
The company had launched its 3SI-based advanced diagnostic blood pressure algorithm last year.
It interprets and evaluates the blood pressure measurement and sends early warning alerts to patients and clinical staff about possible arrhythmias, valvular and coronary arterial conditions.
