Molecular diagnostic products provider Tianlong has launched two new products, namely the GeneFlex Nucleic Acid Extractor and the Gentier mini+ Real-time PCR System.
The two products can be used in mobile and small laboratories thanks to their portable and lightweight design. They can also be used to meet on-site testing requirements.
Researchers and clinicians can use the devices for nucleic acid extraction and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) applications.

The devices are also compatible with the company’s extraction and PCR reagents. The GeneFlex extraction instrument, in combination with the Gentier mini+ PCR instrument, can be used for the detection of respiratory, genetic and blood diseases.
The GeneFlex Nucleic Acid Extractor has a maximum processing volume of 1,700μl and a sample processing volume of between 200μl and 500μl.
It provides a precise temperature control that ranges between 30°C and 120°C, a heating speed of 4°±0.2°C/s, temperature uniformity of ≤1.0°C, and temperature accuracy of ±1°C.
The Gentier mini+ Real-time PCR System will help identify and prevent animal and infectious diseases. Other application areas for the device include food safety and scientific research.
Featuring multiple fluorescent channels, the system offers shortened experiment times thanks to rapid heating and cooling rates.
