Irish-company MyBio has signed a distribution agreement with German manufacturer MöLab for its Covid-19 antibody diagnostic test kit. The test kit is claimed to offer ‘excellent diagnostic specificity and sensitivity’ for IgG and IgM antibodies, which indicate if a person has been exposed to coronavirus in the past. It is being offered for professional use and provides result in ten minutes. The test requires a finger-prick sample and is also compatible with serum or plasma samples.
China-based Hytera has unveiled a simple pandemic prevention solution to be used by small to medium-sized organisations. The technology, Hytera body temperature measurement solution, offers a no-contact way to measure the temperature of a patient to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission. This is expected to create a safer and more secure environment when work resumes.
